Detective Kelly Baart of the Syracuse Police Department’s Narcotics Division (currently assigned to the CNY DEA Joint Narcotics Task Force) provided an informative and valuable breakdown regarding the presence of Narcotics disguised as candies that may be present within CNY. Detective Baart not only identified trends and recent seizures but also provided safety information on the handling and disposal of any such substances, actual or suspected. We thank Detective Baart for her assistance and wish her safety in her endeavors.
Post-1468 will be hosting a Halloween Night Safety Spot at our Post, along with Syracuse Neighborhood Watch and the Legion Auxiliary. Children and their parents/chaperones are welcome to stop in. A designated “candy-check” area will be made available for any parent/Chaperone who wishes to check candies. We will have refreshments available.
